Car Rental Terms & Conditions
Reservations
All reservations are based on a vehicle category and not a certain car model. In case of no availability for a confirmed reservation, EUROHIRE reserves the right to offer a vehicle of a bigger category to the customer with no extra charge.
Drivers Age
The driver’s age must be between 23 and 80 years, unless otherwise specified for certain vehicle categories. In such cases, the specific terms displayed during vehicle selection will apply.
Drivers' License
The driver is required to have and display a valid driver’s license issued at least a year ago. Citizens of non-EU countries are required to have a valid international driver’s license along with their regular driver’s license.
Credit Cards
American Express, Mastercard & Visa. Must be in the name of the main driver and have sufficient credit limit to cover any excess.
Payment
The rental can be paid by debit or debit card, or with cash.
Traffic Violations - Fines
Traffic violations and fines are the responsibility of the renter.
Office Hours
We are here to assist you during our regular office hours at the following locations:
- Our offices at Corfu Port, Acharavi, and Kassiopi: 08:00 – 21:00
- Corfu Airport Office: 08:00 – 22:00
After Hours Delivery Fees
For vehicle pickups or returns outside regular office hours at the airport, the following additional charges apply:
Pick-up Fees:
- 22:00 – 00:15 & 06:15 – 07:45: €35
- 00:30 – 06:00: €100
Drop-off Fees:
- 22:00 – 00:15 & 06:15 – 07:45: €35
- 00:30 – 06:00: €50
Additional Driver
The additional driver is free of charge with the Premium package. In the Value & Basic packages, an extra charge of €5 and €10 respectively applies.
Child Seat
Baby or child seat is provided free of charge with the Premium package. In the Value & Basic packages, an extra charge of €4 and €7.5 respectively applies, with a maximum charge of €30.
Cancellations Policy
Cancellation of a booking must be made according to the selected rental package, as described below.
Package-Specific Cancellation Policy
Basic Package
Cancellations are accepted only within 12 hours from the time of booking.
After 12 hours from booking, the prepayment becomes non-refundable, regardless of the rental start date.
Cancellations are accepted within 14 days from the time of booking, provided that the cancellation is made at least
3 days (72 hours) before the rental start date.
In all cases, both conditions must be met:
- within 14 days from booking, and
- not less than 3 days before the rental start date.
If either condition is not met, the prepayment becomes non-refundable.
Premium FLEX Package
Cancellations are accepted up to 3 days (72 hours) before the rental start date.
If the cancellation is made less than 3 days before the rental start date, the prepayment is non-refundable.
For bookings made less than 3 days before the rental start date, cancellations are allowed only within 12 hours from the time of booking and no later than 24 hours before the scheduled pickup time.
For last-minute bookings, no prepayment refund applies unless the cancellation is made within the 12-hour window described above.
Refund Conditions
If the cancellation is made in accordance with the rules of the selected package, the prepayment will be fully refunded.
If the applicable cancellation deadline is not respected, the prepayment is non-refundable.
Cancellations are accepted exclusively through the official Eurohire website.
Fuel
The renter is obliged to return the vehicle with the same amount of fuel as it had when collected. If the vehicle is returned with less fuel, the renter will be charged for the fuel difference. No refunds are issued for vehicles returned with more fuel than when collected.
Insurance
Our vehicles are insured for third-party damages. Coverage for damages to the rented vehicle depends on the selected insurance package.
If the damage is caused by a third party and the other driver formally accepts responsibility by signing the necessary declaration, the damages to the rented vehicle are fully covered regardless of the selected insurance package.
If the renter is at fault, the applicable excess and coverage conditions will apply based on the selected insurance package.
CDW – Collision Damage Waiver
With CDW, the renter is partially covered for damages to the rented vehicle. This coverage applies only if the renter accepts and signs the relevant terms of the rental agreement. The following excess amounts apply:
- €1100 for car categories A, B, C, D, E, F, G.
- €1200 for car categories T, T1, K, I1.
- €1500 for car category Lux.
FDW – Full Damage Waiver
With FDW, the renter is covered with a reduced excess of €200, provided they accept and sign the rental agreement. Please note that FDW does not cover damages to the undercarriage, tires, glass parts, mirrors, or interior of the car.
- Additional €8 per day over CDW for categories A, B, C.
- Additional €10 per day over CDW for categories D, E, F, G.
- Additional €20 per day over CDW for categories T, T1, K, I1.
SFDW – Super Full Damage Waiver
With SFDW, the renter is fully covered for all parts of the vehicle, including damages to the wheels, glass, roof, and undercarriage.
- Additional €15 per day over CDW for categories A, B, C.
- Additional €20 per day over CDW for categories D, E, F, G.
- Additional €40 per day over CDW for categories T, T1, K, I1.
Exceptions: For categories T2 (Ford Mustang Cabrio) and T3 (Mini Cooper Cabrio), SFDW does not include coverage for the wheels, mirrors, roof, or undercarriage. In such cases, the renter remains liable for damages to these parts.
Road Assistance
Eurohire Cars are covered with 24-hour Road Assistance within the island limits. Contact details will be provided at the station.
It is prohibited to take the vehicle outside of Corfu or to ferry to and from the island without prior written authorization from the lessor’s office.
The Courts of Corfu are responsible for resolving any differences.
Driving Restrictions
Always drive on asphalt or concrete roads. Driving on gravel or rocky roads may cause damage to the vehicle, particularly to the tires, undercarriage, and suspension. Please note that such damages may not be covered by the selected insurance package, and repair costs might be charged to the renter.
Cleaning Fee
Entering the car with wet beachwear or swimsuits, or returning the car excessively dirty (including sand, mud, or stains), may result in a cleaning fee.
The cleaning fee starts from €50
Minimum Rental Charge
The minimum rental charge is 1 day.
